Joe Richardson’s journey into social work is shaped by a unique blend of military service, education, and therapeutic leadership. Joe began his career in 2017 by joining the military, where he developed a strong foundation in resilience, discipline, and service. He later attended Valley Forge Military College and earned his undergraduate degree in Recreational and Environmental Leadership through the School of Outdoor Education at Westminster University in Salt Lake City. Joe's professional experience includes working in an outdoor-based residential therapy program, where he served as assistant to the Outdoor Director. In this role, he planned therapeutic excursions, taught climbing, and guided young women (ages 14–18) in building confidence, connection, and personal growth through experiential learning. Following a deployment to the Middle East, Joe returned home and transitioned into a therapeutic administrative role, furthering his skills in the mental health field. He is currently completing his Master of Social Work at Capella University, and has served as a Case Manager for Summit Counseling as part of his master’s level internship.
