This passion led her to continue her education and pursue a degree in Marriage and Family Therapy.
Therapeutic Approach:
Jennifer draws from several different approaches to therapy. A common approach for her is Cognitive Behavior Therapy. She also uses Psychodynamic features such as attachment and emotional awareness and Humanistic features such as self-awareness and the individual’s capacity for healing and self-actualization. From Family Systems approach she focuses on relational dynamics, communication styles and boundary work.
Personal philosophy:
Jennifer believes people have an innate ability and desire to become their best, most authentic, and happiest selves when false beliefs and the effects of trauma are identified and stripped away. She believes we can always be moving closer to this as a reality if we have the courage to face our struggles and continue learning.
Personal Background:
A favorite activity for Jennifer is hanging out with her husband and children and enjoying each of their unique personalities. She also loves to be near a lake or ocean, feel a light breeze, watch a sunset, share a good joke and listen to many types of music.
