Ashley Patino, ACMHC

Supporting Clients Through Life’s Inevitable Transitions
  • Specializing in Anxiety, Grief, and Life Changes
  • Trauma-Informed and Client-Centered Care
Areas of Expertise:
Anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, distressing memories, and trauma.
Experience and Background:
Ashley holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Utah and two Master of Science degrees from Capella University—one in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, and the other in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Her professional journey began in community action agencies, where she worked as a case manager supporting individuals and families in pursuing meaningful goals. She has worked with children, youth, and adults from diverse backgrounds, particularly those facing socio-economic challenges, and is dedicated to creating therapeutic relationships built on trust, empowerment, and resilience.
Therapeutic Approach:
Ashley uses a collaborative, client-centered approach to counseling, grounded in the belief that each person is the expert of their own experience. She integrates evidence-based modalities to support healing, growth, and lasting change:
  • Person-Centered Therapy
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
  • Mindfulness Techniques
  • Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART – Basic Trained)
Her goal is to create a safe, supportive space where clients feel empowered to explore their experiences, develop self-compassion, and move toward a life that feels more clear, aligned, and resilient.
Personal philosophy:
Ashley believes that people don’t stay stuck because they want to—they often stay stuck because they haven’t yet been given the right tools, support, or space to heal. She recognizes how deeply negative self-beliefs, trauma, and emotional wounds can shape a person’s experience. With compassion, curiosity, and deep respect, Ashley walks alongside her clients as they rediscover their inner strength and begin to reclaim the life they truly want to live. Her work is rooted in the belief that healing is not only possible, but deeply personal and empowering.
Personal Background:
Outside of the therapy room, Ashley finds grounding in her spirituality and mindfulness practices. She’s a self-proclaimed messy human who loves going to concerts, binging her favorite shows, and spending time with her family and pets.
Quote:
"The privilege of a lifetime is to become who you truly are."
