Areas of Expertise:
Substance use treatment, serious mental illness, crisis interventions, assessment and referral, group treatment, recreation therapy, and supporting individuals in life transitions.
Experience and Background:
Alesa “Les” Van Dyke earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Utah State University in 2005 and her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Boise State University in 2021. Her career began in substance use treatment for adults, where she developed a passion for helping individuals make meaningful changes. Over the next decade, Alesa worked extensively with adults facing serious mental illness, providing recreation therapy, supported housing case management, and group treatment. Alesa’s experience also includes working with children and teens in a school setting, as well as serving as a social work/care manager in a hospital environment. In this role, she supported children and adults with assessment, referral, and crisis interventions, helping them navigate challenging situations and access the resources they need.

Alesa believes in the importance of addressing the whole person, taking into account the interconnected aspects of their well-being. She is committed to helping clients achieve balance, build resilience, and create meaningful change in their lives.
Alesa employs a multidimensional approach to therapy, addressing the biological, psychological, social, and spiritual aspects of each client’s needs. Her methods include:

    When not working, Alesa enjoys engaging in activities that nurture her own well-being and bring joy. She is passionate about her work and is honored to be part of her clients’ journeys toward healing and empowerment.
